Retreat FAQs: everything you need to know
Welcome!
If you're thinking about joining a retreat or have already booked your place, this guide is here to help you feel prepared to get excited! Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about the retreat experience, travel, logistics, and what to expect from your time on retreat.
Who are retreats for?
My retreats are open to all levels – whether you’re new to yoga or a long-time practitioner. It’s especially supportive for:
Anyone feeling stressed, burnt out or dysregulated
Those interested in nervous system health and embodied healing
People seeking a restorative yet enlivening experience – with dynamic movement, deep rest and nourishing practices
You don’t need to be flexible, experienced or spiritual. Just open to slowing down, tuning in, and learning something new about yourself.

Are your retreats open to men, women, and all genders?
Yes – most of my retreats are open to all genders. Whether you identify as a woman, man, non-binary, trans, or gender-diverse, you are warmly welcome. My retreats are also proudly LGBTQ+ friendly.
All of my retreats inclusive, supportive spaces where you can show up as you are, without pressure or expectation. I honour diversity, encourage self-awareness, and hold space with respect and compassion.
I do run a periodical women’s health retreat which is focused on female anatomy and physiology, and so more relevant for females.
What kind of yoga will we practice?
Each retreat is unique so you’ll find details of exactly what each retreat is about on the retreat page. However, in general, I like to blend together ancient wisdom from yoga, Ayurveda, Five Element Theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern, science-backed practices for:
Dynamic flow (embodied vinyasa-based sequences to reconnect and energise)
Slow flow (gentle, mindful movement to downregulate the nervous system)
Yin and restorative yoga (deep tissue release, stillness, and therapeutic rest)
Myofascial release and acupressure (guided use of balls and props to release tension)
Optional Zenthai Shiatsu bodywork and yoga assists for deep release
Do I need to be good at yoga to go on a yoga retreat?
Not at all. You do not need to be flexible, experienced, or “good at yoga” to join this retreat.
Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or have a steady personal practice, this retreat is designed to meet you where you are.
There are always at least two teachers on hand to be able to cater for varying needs in the group, including working with beginners to help them get up to speed.
Each practice is offered with variations, choices, and options for different levels of experience and comfort. This includes ways to increase the challenge or advance the practice for those who wish to move in that direction.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day varies slightly, but follows a rhythm of:
Morning dynamic or embodied yoga
Seasonal, gut-supportive breakfast
Time in nature, rest, or workshops
Delicious lunch and quiet time
Afternoon yin/restorative practice
Sauna, sound healing, or bodywork
Nourishing dinner, yoga nidra and wind-down
Optional time by the fire pit, star gazing or heading straight off for an early night
Where is the retreat and how do I get there?

Can I come on my own to a yoga retreat?
Absolutely – many people do. You’ll be warmly welcomed, and there’s a mix of solo time and group connection. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgemental space that makes it easy to show up exactly as you are. You’ll probably also make some friends along the way!
Can I share a room with a friend?
Yes – let us know when booking and I’ll do my best to accommodate. Private rooms are available if you prefer more space and solitude.
